I live in the Jersey Farm area of St Albans, and so most of my students live in St Albans, or in surrounding towns such as Harpenden, Radlett, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and London Colney.
Students either visit my home or we conduct the lessons online. I have a lovely 115 year old Bechstein upright piano that all my students get to play. Lessons are typically 45 minutes long for adults, and 30 minutes long for younger students. Lessons tend to be shorter for children due to their attention span.
Students are generally more familiar with the concept of face-to-face lessons and, in many ways, these are the ideal way to teach piano.
However, it is not ideal for everybody. You may not have transport available to you at the time of the lesson or you may need to work from home while you or your child has their lesson. In these circumstances, online lessons might be a better option. Or you may not be able to commit to a regular time each week because of work patterns. In this case, you might consider my self-paced remote piano course for adults?
